Sometimes my routers loose connectivity, when I go back and I check their serial interfaces I see carrier transitions as well as interface resets.
When I use the show service-module serial command I have "Receiver has no alarms". My question is: How could I determine whether the problem is on my end or not? I am almost sure this is an ISP problem because I have performed loopback test to my serial interfaces and they seem to be Ok.
This problem happens specially when I am not at the office.
Does anybody has a link to a document that explains all those counters?
Can you provide a show controllers for the interface as well as the show interface serial. Since it is an intermittant problem can you provide the configuration for the Service-Module and the interface. Possibly you and the carrier are not the same on some timing parameters. These results can help us determine what and where your problem lies....
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
