unable to connect web server to cisco 3560x gigabit switch

Unable to connect web server to cisco 3560x switch through patch panel. I connected the sevrer to cisco 2960 fast ethernet switch  through patch panel then the port on the 2960 switch comes up, but when i connect the same cable to  cisco 3560x gigabit port - the port doesnt come up. Help me

Can you check by configuring the 3560x interface speed manually to 100 Mbps and connecting the server?
