undocumented router command?

Does anyone know the meaning and syntax of the command "logging queue-limit ..."?

I find it everywhere on cco in configurations but no in command references. Still it exists in IOS.

Even the command lookup tool says:

The command 'logging queue-limit' was not found in the Cisco Command Reference

Re: undocumented router command?

Hello Erik,

afaik, the command "logging queue-limit 100" would limit the queue in memory for logging messages that the router still has to write to the logging buffer and / or the console to 100. It's used to prevent that the router crashes or runs into processing problems due to an excessive load generated by to many logging messages.

Regards, Dirk.
