upgrading IOS image 3750 error

I am getting this error when I tried to archive, download and overwrite bin file.

Could not buffer tarfile...using multiple downloads

examining image...

%Tar checksum error in tftp://192.168.1.101/c3750-advipservicesk9-mz.122-40.se.bin

%Error opening flash:update/info (No such file or directory)

ERROR: Image is not a valid IOS image archive.

looks like you have the binary version of the ios file but the command you are using is expecting to find the original .tar file. Two options. Go back to CCO and download the .tar file and try to download it again from the switch, this time calling the tar file. Or just copy the .bin file to the switch with the regular copy tftp flash and set the switch to boot from that image.
