Hello

I have a scenario as follows:

2 people in the same building. 1 Person on the second floor, 1 who is in an office, two floors below ground.

Each person routes through a different switch, ultimately going through the same vlan on the same switch before going out over the router. The one 2 floors below ground can reach a mail server in another country. The one on the 2nd floor cannot. This tells me that the only (network related) issue here is that the person connecting to the switch on the second floor has an acl. I had a look and found no acl's present on the switch. Neither for the switch of the basement office.

What am I missing from a LAN/WAN side? Or could this be a pc related problem where the one ip is filtered by the firewall and the other is not?

Thanks

wvw
