I currently have a main datacenter with a DR site on a dedicated link. I would like to have our IIS servers which are behind a load balencer fail over to our DR site. I want to do this in the most eligent way of doing this with the least amount of downtime for users.
Would it be possible to use IPv4 anycast to achive this? If so what are the specifics of how the failover works if the first server is unreachable. Is there any way to poison a route if a server becomes unreachable?
Having not worked with anycast before, I am having problems finding infomation on this topic online.
