Using Public IP addresses on router to open a service
We have a set of about 5 public IPs given to us by ISP.The ISP has installed their router 3825 in our network that is managed by ISP and we have no access of it.We have connected Cisco 3725 router with the only interface that is available vacant of ISP Router and given it one of Public IP. we have coonected a core switch of cisco 3750 with the interface of our router 3725 and assigned local IP.
Now we want to use a public ip and open a service for remote users. How will we configure our router 3725 to accept requests and forward it to the device where service is hosted. Please tell us configuration commands needed to do that.
Also we dont want to tell public ip of our network to the clients and thnk of dynamic dns to use for it.Is it right decision? what other ways we can do that?
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
