Using SDM for Static IP 1483 bridged Connection

Hi,

My question is why isn't the 1483 bridged Encapsulation method available for configuring a Router whose client has a static IP. Both myself and collegues have gone through the set up in the SDM software and can't find this option. Are we all missing something? I'm sure we've done this in the past.

We use a combination of IOS & SDM software when configuring Routers and although we have the details to do this using IOS, we are interested to know why this option is NOT available in the SDM software.

Thanks, MJ

"Why"is a question that should be made to cisco developers and managers, but they are not here to reply it.

What I can tell you, is that if you want to do things professionally, leave SDM alone that beside not doing what you need, will produce confusing configuration and prevent you from learning.

Once you have learned how to make neat, clean and efficient IOS configs, you won't regret the SDM anymore, and on your route to be a Professional.
