Verifying SX + LH SFP's

I need to verify if an SFP is inserted into a port and if its SX/mmf or LX/smf

Can someone clarify the following int outputs >>

Full-duplex, 1000Mb/s, media type is SX

Media-type configured as SFP connector

I was told that "" Media-type configured as SFP connector"" indicates NO sfp in the slot...NEED TO CLARIFY these two statements...thx.

I usually use the command show int status to show what type of SFP is plugged in. Typically anything not plugged in reports Not Present. It might be different per chassis/IOS version, however this is what I've typically seen on 3750's and and 3560's.

Hope this helps, rate if it does.
