I have various small areas that have seperate vlans for phones corresponding to each area. The previous network admin before me set it up differently and I just want to question it.
Is it ok for vlan to setup to the routers directly connected to the IP Phone then the router its connected to does not have vlan setup. Then this router has a DS3 connection over the WAN to the main router that has VLAN setup again. It is set up as transparent on both sides and I just am curious as also why my network assistant shows 2 different connections to a specific router when there is in fact only one connection. Is it ok to setup vlan on the 3825 as well as transparent ? Or just leave it as is ?
