VPDN

what is main difference between normal dialup session and VPDN technology other than VPN connection?

what are the benefits of VPDN?

can we configure it in over normal network infrastructure or we need some higer end devices?

Hi,

VPDN is used to create Remote Site VPN connections. VPDNs are used generally for the home users who want to connect to the corporate network. Its a dial up connection to the ISP and then a VPN connection.

Examples of VPDN are L2TP,PPTP etc.

No high end equipments are required just a internet connection, modem and a public IP address of the Corporate N/w to connect to
