I have a 3005 VPN Concentrator. I have a remote location coming in over DSL to the concentrator with a PIX 506 on the remote side. I am having trouble getting my IP phone to work at the location. Here is an example of what is going on. From a client PC, I can ping 172.17.0.50 - the default gateway of the main location. I cannont ping 172.17.1.50 - the default gateway for our IP phones on the network. (the primary carrier is 172.17.1.250). All of my routes are set up as 172.17.0.0 255.255.0.0. I am unsure why I am unable to ping the 172.17.1.xx addresses, as they should be following upon the same rules as the 172.17.0.xx. Any help would be appriciated. Thanks in advance!

Hi

It will be better if you can throw more lite on the exact problem which you are facing currently over there.

It can help to a great extent if you can post out a topological figure representing the connecitivity you have in place with the ip address details.

Unfortunatly, we are a financial institution, so that keeps me from being able to give you exact details. Here is a bit more to go on though:

The network at my remote location is 172.17.3.0/24

It comes in over my 3005 VPN Concentrator. My router behind the concentrator is 172.17.0.50, but also has a secondary IP on the same interface of 172.17.1.50 - this range is for our IP phones. When at a PC from the remote location, I can ping 172.17.0.50. I cannot ping 172.17.1.50. All of my routes are listed as 172.17.0.0 255.255.0.0. I am unsure why this will not allow this to go through. I figure if I get my ping running, my phone should light up too.
