Re: VTP domain mis-match

Hi

As you can see from your second switch there is no domain name set.

But your first switch has a domain name of mpls. If you want these two switches to exchaneg VTP information you will need to make the domain name match.

But it's not as simple as that. Both your switches are in VTP transparent mode so i'm guessing you don't want a VTP server/cleint setup in your network ?

Re: VTP domain mis-match

Hi

Can you post output of "sh vtp status"/ "sh vtp domain" from both switches.

Re: VTP domain mis-match

hi,

Just a small addition to Jon's post, if the switches are server/client, then the switch having null domain name will learn the VTP domain name from the other switch.

Mohammed Mahmoud.
