Re: VTP Server

Hi Ibrahim,

The revision number can't be configured it is incremented automatically (VTP server increments the old VTP revision number by 1, and advertises the entire VLAN configuration database along with the new revision number.), it can only be reseted in one of these 2 ways:

1.Configuring the switch as Transparent then Client or server.

2.Configuring the switch with another bogus domain name then reconfiguring again with the correct domain name.

If you have 2 servers, then both are servers, meaning that you can add VLANs on any of them, and any of them would advertise this information to the domain.

HTH, please do rate all helpful replies,

Mohammed Mahmoud.
