Hello,
im trying to get a back to back connection over 2 VWIC-1MFT-E1 between 2 routers.
Cabling is correct. I have CD on both ends. One end is set to clock source line the other one to intenal.
It controllers stay down and i see CRC's indicating clocking is not working.
Is there any limitation clocking a line from a VWIC-1MFT-E1. Has anyone tryed this?
one end:
controller E1 0/0/0
clock source internal
channel-group 1 timeslots 1-31
other end:
controller E1 0/0/0
channel-group 1 timeslots 1-31
!
someone an idea???

Hi,
If these are ISR routers, you also need "network-clock-participate" and "network-clock-select" on both routers.
Else specify what routers is that and send "show controllers e1".
Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!

Hello,
im on a 1841. So there is no "network-clock-participate" command.
E1 0/0/0 is down.
Applique type is Channelized E1 - balanced
Receiver has remote alarm.
alarm-trigger is not set
Version info Firmware: 20050620, FPGA: 16, spm_count = 0
Framing is CRC4, Line Code is HDB3, Clock Source is Internal.
CRC Threshold is 320. Reported from firmware is 320.
Data in current interval (824 seconds elapsed):
0 Line Code Violations, 0 Path Code Violations
yourname#sh controllers E1 0/0/0
E1 0/0/0 is down.
Applique type is Channelized E1 - balanced
Receiver has loss of frame.

what is the length of the cable between the routers, what are the cable pin outs, shielded or unshielded cable ?
