VWIC-2MFT-G703 => 2621 XM

Hi,

I have problem with my card VWIC-2MFT-G703. When I install it in my 2621 XM router, after the boot; it won't be detected

# Slot0, Unit0 initialization failure: Firmeware download !!!!!

I tried c2600-ipbase-mz.123-6f.bin, c2600-ipbase-mz.123-6c.bin and c2600-ipbasek9-mz.124-7.bin IOS and the status still NOK

Q1: What should I do to install succesfully my card on this router?

Q2: How many chanel group of 4 TS (port E1 chanalized) could I do on this card?

Q3:How many chanel group of 4 TS per each controller (port E1 chanalized) could I do on VWIC 2 MFT-E1?

Hi Tarik,

Try reseating the module again.

Also try inserting the module on the other slot and check the status.

see the error Slot0, Unit0 initialization failure : -your slot0 may have gone bad

Are you sure you are using a first generation card and not a second generation module

i.e VWIC2-2MFT-G703

The second generation modules are supported only on IOS 12.3(14)T and above

Hi Narayan,

I tested this card on 3 routers, I tried also another WIC2T in this port and it worked => I don't think that the port is the root of my problem.

How can I know the generation of my card? What is the difference?

Where can I download the IOS 12.3(14)T? Perhaps my issue belongs to this

When you do a "sh diag" it displays the version of the card. but since the card is not detecting mostly you will see it as unknown

It must have been mentioned in the shipment box though.

Iam trying to find the reason for the error you got while booting.

How about Q2 and Q3?
