wan constant data flow

Hi,

I am trying to send constant flow of data throw a serial wan link with bandwidth of 256kbps.

The problem is, that i need to send constant data flow even when there is no need to send data. the point is that the interface will be in 100% of utilization.

Please help me,

Perhaps you could use an external traffic generator, which would send 256 Kbps of UDP traffic toward an address on the other side of the link. (Ideally, an addressed not used by an actual host.)
