i highly appreciate any response
i have never worked in a production enviroment i wanted to know what are the benchmark routers and switches used in most of the companies
how are they connected to the wan links
do they have CSU/DSU, NT1's connected to the serial interfaces or they are inbiult in the router
what are the WAN hardwars used in the production environment

Hi, the best is to have the cs/dsu embedded in the router interface. The exact model of interface then varies from router model and application.

Hi, there is no benchmark, each customer buys something different from the small 857/adsl to huge router/switches with optical interfaces. All depends by application, profile and budget.
