WAN Router Help

I was given a task to change over a site from one provider to another. I do not have site access as of yet so I am gathering information remotely.

a sh run shows no T1 controllers and only a serial interface with an IP. Then a Fa0 with an IP.

Now the serial interface as no channel groups or timing line encoding on it.

The router is a 1721

SO I am assuming there is an external CSU/DSU on location.

The new provider will not have one and its only a smart jack.

According to the sh ver listed below. There is a WIC-T1-dsu

now my question is, I am not 100% sure it has a built in CSU/DSU.

I pasted below a sh ver and Sh diag. Can someone give me some information on will this router work. Like can I just run RJ45 from the smart jack and connect it to the router?

It appears you have an integrated T1 WIC CSU/DSU. You should be able to connect the T1 cable directly to the SJ. If you want to change any of the CSU/DSU default configuration you need to use the 'service-module' command under the Serial interface.

Agree with last post, you have an integrated T1 WIC.

You'll see it if you issue a show interface

The service-module commands will only show in the config if you change defaults (ie - b8zs/esf/timeslots 1-24).

And yes, it uses an RJ45 connection.
