WAN Routing

Hello all, my name is Bernardo, and I'm a newbie to the Cisco world. I have been tasked with connecting our DR location with our Primary location over a WAN. Currently, the two locations are connected via a metro-e.

I have two routers available to get this task done (a 2621 and 3600). Will I need WIC's to get this task done? What's the best way to get this task done with the two routers I have available. Thanks for any advice.

Re: WAN Routing

Well it depends on alot of factors, so we'd need more info.

I.E. What's the WAN connection technology?

Re: WAN Routing

We have T1's at both locations.

Re: WAN Routing

If you have a T1, then you need a WIC-1DSU-T1 on each router. The default settings on this card should get you going and all you need to do is apply the ip address under the serial interface at each device and if the T1 has been provisioned by the service provider, you should be able to ping between the devices.

This is the WIC you need:

Re: WAN Routing

You need one WIC card to install new T1.

If you have HUB and Spoke tech like VPN, ATM or Frame-relay , ISDN. You need not necessary another WIC card.

You question not properly understable..

This is best answer i can give as of your questio.
