WAN standardization for the future

Currently I am working on a project involving a Hospital in Conneticut which has four wan connections which are a combination of ATM, T1, and 56K. I need to come up with a new design which will carry the hospital into the future with voice, video, large digital files from the Hospital to the remote sites. Any suggestions?

I am currently rolling out an MPLS/VPN service to a Hospital group in the UK which is based around 100M ethernet circuits (actually provisioned over SDH) and my companies MPLSVPN core. This provides plenty of bandwidth for digital imaging and low latency for real-time apps.

I know there is MPLSVPN provision in your area as we have another customer who has a Conneticut site hooked into our core, although its likely not our SDH. Of course you don't need to go via an MPLSVPN to use SDH, you could use point to point Ethernet/SDH circuits just as well.

Ultimately its going to depend on what services are available to you and what your budget is.
