Want to add VPN traffic to new Outgoing DSL line

I have a new ASA 5510 that is currently working fine. I just added a DSL line to be used for incoming VPN connections only.

What do I need to do to get that working? I have turned off all security on the DSL modem and tested it by attaching a laptop to the modem- hard-coding a routable IP (I turned off the modem's DHCP) and was able to ping the laptop w/o an issue. When I plug the modem into the ASA 5510, hard code a routable IP, ping the IP on the ASA I get 'Request timed out.'

What routing do I need to setup on the ASA to get the traffic to pass through?

Thanks,

-Mike Johnson

Hi Mike

Can you revert back from where you are trying to ping the ip assigned on the ASA ?

Also did u do a reverse trace for the ip assigned on your ASA ? That will definitely help you out in identifying where its getting blocked..
