want to buy router

hi ,

please anyone could suggest me the which router meets the below mentioned specs :

  • Hardware Architecture
  • Should be based on modular architecture for scalability and should be a single box configuration for ease of management with the flexibility to use the appropriate choice of interfaces as and when required.
  • The router offered should have high MTBF & low MTTR
  • Power supply should be for 230V AC.
  • May have redundant Power supply, not mandatory.
  • Should have Min of 512 MB RAM & 256 MB FLASH and should be upgradeable.

  • Interface
  • Should have at least 3 Gig interfaces (at least 1 SFP Port)
  • Should have at least 2 FE interface
  • Dedicated Console port
  • At least 1 USB port

  • Should provide performance of at least 700kpps
  • Routing table should be able to take more than 13k of routes.
  • Should support performance enhancement through hardware based encryption.

  • Should have support for CLI, Telnet and SNMPv3
  • Should support Secure Shell
  • Should provide a provision to analyze IP service levels for IP applications and services by using active traffic monitoring (the generation of traffic in a continuous, reliable, and predictable manner) for measuring network performance.
  • Should support hardware assisted flow-based traffic analysis of applications, hosts, performance-based measurements on application and network latency, quality of experience metrics for network-based services such as voice over IP (VoIP) and video.
  • Should have the ability to monitor events and take informational, corrective, action when the monitored events occur or when a threshold is reached.
  • Implementation control configuration on the Router to ensure SNMP access to SNMP Manager or the NMS work station.
  • Support for RMON1/RMON2.

I haven't verified all your listed features but a 3925 router would probably meet most of your them.

I agree with Joseph.  This sounds like a 3925

Should have at least 3 Gig interfaces (at least 1 SFP Port)

Should have at least 2 FE interface

The 3925 already comes with default three 1 Gbps interface (1 SFP dual-personality port).  So you need to purchase additional module(s) for the fastethernet ports.  You can either have a routed or a switchport.
