WCCP Related Issues

Hi all, hope everyone is well !!!

I have a WCCP related issue, hope someone can give some direction on this one.

I have a Cisco 2921 running IOS 15.3.3.M4. I have an ACL that I use for traffic policing and for some reason I am not seeing matches on the ACL when WCCP is enabled on the router LAN interface, therefore my traffic policing stops working. But if I exclude the ACL from WCCP then all is working normally. Has anyone seen this issue before ? any ideas ?

Hello Danny,

my first thought is that the redirect ACL that should exclude traffic is not configured properly. Can you post the config of your 2921 ?

Perhaps it is an issue with the redirect ACL. But I also wonder if the issue is that some traffic is redirected by the router to the cache server and the cache server is then sending traffic to the Internet but the traffic from the cache server is not matching your policy for policing. Can you tell us more about what traffic is involved, what is the cache server and what is it doing? I agree that seeing the config of your 2921 may be helpful.
