weird router issue

I have a pair of 2621XM routers and with both of them whenever you enter a command in enable mode the output is delayed by a few seconds. But if I go into config mode and run the same command with the "do" attached to the front of it, the output comes up immediately. This seems to be true for all commands I have tried. "sh run" "sh ver", etc. Again, if I am in config mode and type "do sh run" or "do sh ver" there is no delay in the output. CPU has about 1% utilization. What is causing this?

Have you tried the usual reset techinique with one of the box and checked for any change in the performance ?

Also whats the exact ios code and the file name which you have installed in your boxes at present, may an upgrade to a recent GD version will also do a trick..

Hello,

Are you running any AAA - command authorization?
