What is the best method to ensure equipment is 'good'

Hello all,

So quick background, I work for a company that buys and sells IT equipment, a lot of cisco. Typically we're dealing with 1-5k pieces of equipment and our proceedure is to do basic testing such as test ports, if it PoE - make sure those work properly. Then do a factory reset clearing settings and passwords.

Upcoming we have a deal in a foreign country that is high value.

We're going over to test this equipment - as a community, what is your opinions/methods to go about testing equipment to make sure it's "good to go" or resellable?

Hi DylanRepowerIT Cisco has

Hi

reboot the device almost 2 times to avoid  DOA complains from your customer due to the memory issue  or any other cause.

Also if you can log into the device , I would run a Post on the ports/line cards , and a "Show diagnostic and  a Show hardware/inventory" to make sure the device is complete.

Regards ,
