Hi,

A station identified by an IPv6 link-local address can only be spoken to only by other stations on the same link (in the same LAN/VLAN). As soon as there is a router between the sender and the destination identified by a link-local address, the communication will fail.

A station identified by an IPv6 global address can be spoken to from any location in the network.

Please feel welcome to ask further.

Best regards,
Peter
