WIC-1B-U was recognized and worked in a 2811

During circuit outage in desperation we installed a WIC-1B-U in a 2811. The card was recognized, configured and connected. How concerned should we be about problems? I thought it had to be a V2 card

2800 Datasheet shows this as unsupported module and WIC-1B-U-V2 is what they recommend. I have seen some unsupported cards or features work in the past but the only problem is that you mayn't be able to get support from TAC for that component if something breaks in the future.

Thanks Sundar, It got us out of a jam, but I don't think I will leave it in the router.

No problem. That sounds like a good idea. If you have an issue with the router and call the TAC for support there's a good chance they may say that we don't support this card though that card mayn't have anything to do with the actual issue itself.

Just my 2 cents.
