WIC Ethernet Card for 2600 router

I have a 2600 series router with WIC 1T card. Can I remove the WIC 1T and replace it with WIC ethernet card. Lastly, any links on ebay for the right WIC ethernet card?

Re: WIC Ethernet Card for 2600 router

There are no ethernet wic cards for the 2600. There are network modules that go in the large bay but which ones depend on the model of 2600 you have. All will take the nm-1e card if all you need is another ethernet port

Thank you. All I really want is just another ethernet port to connect to my internet modem. Aren't there one-port WIC ethernet cards that would fit in the WIC 1T slot of the router?

Re: WIC Ethernet Card for 2600 router

There is a wic-1enet but it only goes in the 1700 routers. The newer switch cards like the wic-4esw do not work in 2600. I had a number of 2610 routers when I was building my lab and the only way I found to get a second port was to buy a nm-1e. These have gotten very cheap since the 2800 does not support the nm-1e or the nm-4e.

Thank you plenty. I will go ahead and buy nm-1e.
