WIC to WIC

We have gone through a WAN link consolidation and I have several WIC-1DSU-T1-V2 leftover. Is there a way to connect these together in a lab enviroment to simulate WAN connections. I know the traditional way is with serial WICs using a DTE/DCE cable, but if there is a way to use these it would save some cost.

Re: WIC to WIC

All you need is a t1 crossover cable. I think it is 1-4 and 2-5.

Re: WIC to WIC

1-->4, 2-->5 is correct for a T1 crossover.

Re: WIC to WIC

After you make the T1 crossover cable be sure that one of the WIC-1DSU-T1 is set for internal and the other for line clock source:

Router(config-if)# service-module t1 clock source {internal | line}
