Hello to all my invisible mentors,

How can i push an ios image of a working router to my hard drive(tftp)?, i want to xmodem to a crashed system but need help on how to first push the image.

To reduce your explanations, i know how to xmodem, only how to push the image from a working router to the console or hard drive i don't know.

Re: Xmodeming

Hi Sai,

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately the link does not help me question. All i need to know is how to push the ios image to the console or hard drive but the link is talking about how to xmodem, meaning the image is already on the console or hard drive.

Thanks

Re: Xmodeming

Hi,

use copy flash tftp

or copy flash ftp

command to download the IOS file from your working router to a PC running TFTP or FTP server.

3Com 3CDaemon is a nice free FTP/TFTP/Syslog server program if you need some.

See http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/12_2/configfun/configuration/guide/fcf008.html#wp1001010

for details if needed.

BR,

Milan
