folks

i have a wsa vm (7.7.5-190)

i need to put in an entry for a couple of ip to fqdn mappings but when i go to

dnsconfig | new |

and try the localhost command it doesn't work

anyone know why or if there is an alternate method to create the localhost entries

the sites in question are off a secure link so there is no dns published

thanks to anyone taking the time to read this or to respond

Hello there,

Below is the exact command to create a local host entry:

s000r01.csw> dnsconfig

Currently using the local DNS cache servers:

1. Priority: 0  172.16.58.229

Domain search list:

    lab.wsa.com

Choose the operation you want to perform:

- NEW - Add a new server.

- EDIT - Edit a server.

- DELETE - Remove a server.

- SETUP - Configure general settings.

- SEARCH - Configure DNS domain search list.

[]> localhosts

Local IP to Host mappings:

Choose the operation you want to perform:

- NEW - Add new local IP to host mapping.

- DELETE - Delete an existing mapping.
