does WCCP transparent proxy support NTLMSSP authentication ?

, does wccp support using the NTLMSSP  Authentication? i found the WSA IRONPORT  can not find the windows domain login username information, when I use the transparent wccp , it only record the client ip address not the username , so if my identity require authenticatiuon with NTLMSSP, WCPP does not work.   but if i use explict proxy , then i have all username informaiton  in my access log.?

Hi Jason,

Yes, WSA supports NTLMSSP authentication in transparent proxy mode using WCCP.

With the problem you are facing, in most cases the issue is due to client machines cannot resolve the redirect hostname used in the WSA authentication.

You will need to modify your DNS record if the redirect hostname is not resolvable by clients. Redirect hostname can be found in the WSA authentication settings.
