how to block certain webhosting

Hi,

You can do that, but it's only really useful if there are very specific sites you want to block.

If you are worried about bandwidth there are various other routes you could take:

Stting the "Overall Bandwidth Limits" in Web Security Manager

Going into the Access Policies -> Applications and then you can set  bandwidth limits for Media.

Thanks

Chris

if cisco best practice?

how to block certain webhosting

Best Practice would be to use the built in URL categories and only use custom URL categories when there are specific bespoke groups of URLs you'd need acting on.

For example in this case you may want to bandwidth limit all Media except for something that has a specific business need.

Then you could bandwidth limt Media and "Allow" this custom category to exempt it from other rules.

Thanks

Chris
