I write this to prevent others from running into the same issue.
Few weeks ago we upgraded our virtual Web Security Appliances from 12.5.5-008 to version 14.5.1-016 as suggested by the web UI. We use WSA via explicit mode and transparently via WCCP by ASA firewall. While this upgrade was painless on our branch offices, it caused troubles on our headquarter with datacenter. During peak hours when traffic increased, proxy processes on the WSA appliances occasionally started to slow down, crash and being restarted several times a day.

Cisco TAC found that the AsyncOS version 14.5.1-016 also hits the bug CSCwb57216 which is fixed in versions 15.0.0-322 and 14.0.04-005.

However, version 15.0.0 is marked as "limited deployment" in Cisco download portal and also not offered as upgrade option on WSA admin UI ... plus it has too many zeros in the version number
Cisco TAC forwarded this to the development team. Don't know if and this will fix will be deployed to the 14.5.x branch. So stay on version 12.5.5-008 or upgrade to 14.0.04-005 if you must.
