CLI command to find the temperature on WAE-612

Experts,

My Customer is working on optimizing the environmental conditions at all his Data Center locations (Currently they are in the range 68F to 74F at their locations and they want to increase the temp to 76F) . So, the customer wants to know the standard low / average / high thresholds of

WAE-612 that they have in their Data Center locations and the current readings of these switches in their network just to make sure so that they don't raise the temperate in the hot location and end up having platforms shut down because the temperate was raised without confirming the platform and ambient temperature.

After doing some research in CCO, I found this below link which talks about the Ambient Operating temperature.

Temperature:

Operating: 50 to 95F (10 to 35C)

Non-operating: -104 to 140F (-40 to 60C)

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/app_ntwk_services/waas/wae/installation/512/612/guide/9137spec.html

I am trying to find the CLI show command that I can use to get the current readings. I never got a chance to work on the WAE platform. So, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Shekar.

Hi Shekar,

There is no CLI command to check the current temperature of the device. If there is a problem or temperature gets too high you will get an alarm for the same but you cannot check the temperature currently on the device by means of executing a CLI command. You can check the disks temperature though in show disks tech-support.

Below links define recommended operating temperatures of where you install WAE devices.

Kanwal,

Thanks for the reply. Didnt really know that there is no CLI command to check the current readings of the temperature.

I saw it in one of the TAC cases - I believe I can use "show alarm details" to get the details of any alam.

Thanks again,

Shekar.

Hi Shekar,

Yes you can that command. You can view the alarms in CM too.

Kanwal
