Could WAE 674 be placed in path of traffic?

We're in the process of putting together a pilot with the WAE  674's. Does anybody happen to know if these devices could be placed in path of traffic and will we need at least 3 of them for the pilot (a device at the edge, at the core and the Central Manager)?

HI,

Yes the WAE-674 can be placed physically in-path (with the inline NIC) or physically out of path (via PBR, WCCP or ACE redirection).

You also would still need 3 devices for a pilot. 2 devices for the optimization and 1 device for the central manager.
