Hi,
I would like to ask you one question regarding memory utilization on WAE. The thing is that it is constatnly high on all WAEs in our network (96 - 98%). On the other hand, CM is not reporting any troubles. In addition, "sh alarms" doesnt show any issues on the box. So is this state typical for the WAE, please ?
The output of sh memory:
WAE#sh memory
Total physical memory : 3052920 KB
Total free memory : 93272 KB
Total buffer memory : 58644 KB
Total cached memory : 1746124 KB
Total swap : 3108728 KB
Total free swap : 3105632 KB
WAE#
We are using WAE 574 with inline implementation.
Many thanks!
Stan

Hi Stan,
This is normal. The majority of the memory is preallocated to various processes when the system starts. Unlike other types of systems, monitoring memory consumption in WAAS is not a good indication of performance.

Zach

Thanks
