Can we use the “ ip nat inside” and “ ip redirect in” statements on same interface ? I came know that we can’t use both statements on same interface, instead of this we need to move NAT statement to the outside interface or moving the ip redirect statement to outside interface.
If this true can anyone help me by explaining the packet flow?

Bala

Hi Bala,
You can certainly use this on same interface, provided you configure in specific order. There was similar disussion where we provided a picture depicting order that one should follow in these kind of situations. Here is the link to previous discussion:

Hope this helps.

Hi Bhavin Yadav,
Thanks for your timely reply. I still have a doubt on this can you clarify me.
Consider the interface which is applied with IP NAT OUTSIDE and IP WCCP REDIRECT IN. If packet flows from outside-to-inside direction Which action is will done first ?
Whether it would be NAT or WCCP direct ?

Bala
