The WAAS device at this site is working fine and optimising the traffic using inlinecard . Due to the business requirements, we have to disable the Inlinecard optimisation and enable WCCP. We want to make sure that , we can do this activity with loosing remote access to the device.
We are planning to assign a temporary IP address to portchannel interface and then assign the physical interfaces to it,removing the IPadd assinged to Gig 1/0. Once, this activity is completed we can change the correct IP to port-channel using WAAS CM. But, I am afraid that we may lose remote access to the device while changeing the primary-interface from Gi 1/0 to port-channel . Is there any other way( via WAAS CM ) to configure this with out loosing the remote access to the device.
Unfortunately, we cannot telnet into the device using the switch as it is not in our control.
