Hi All,
I just swapped in a new WAAS appliance (WAVE-694-K-9) in place as part of an upgrade to swap out an older appliance. I performed a replacement procedure as outlined in a Cisco doc. The replacement and registering the new appliance to the Central Manager seemed to go as planned as the new appliance has successfully registered and assumed the identity of the old device. The new device is also showing 'online' in Central Manager. I also made sure that the "ip wccp redirect 61/62" commands are back on the router interfaces where I want the redirect to happen. I am concerned that redirection is not happening and I can't figure out why. When I do the command, "show ip wccp" command on the router I am not seeing the packet count incrementing on the router and other commands run on the waas is not showing any sessions.
ran the following troubleshooting command and the output concerns me: Services Enabled on this WAE - NONE-
Is this normal? If not, how do I resolve?
cdrwaas01#show wccp status
WCCP Interception :
Configured State : Enabled
Services Enabled on this WAE:
-NONE-
I do have this command configured in WAE. See below command copied from WAE (ip address removed for privacy):
wccp router-list 1 <ip address>
wccp tcp-promiscuous service-pair 61 62
router-list-num 1
exit
Please see further output from the router below. Another concerning indication is that the Service Identifier is showing '0' clients (meaning it recognize the WAE). Connectivity has been verified. WAE and router can ping each other.
cdrrtr01#show ip wccp

No information is available for the service.
Can someone advise what to check to get redirection to start happening on the new waas device?

Hi Adil,
Hi Adil,
Have a look at this discussion and last reply:

It seems you need to use "enable" under config-wccp-service to activate the WCCP service on WAE which seems to be not active. Please try and let me know.

Yes, you are correct except the syntax is different. That maybe due to the fact I am running an updated code 5.1.1.16. Below is the syntax: Previous config didn't have the 'enable' command below the 'router-list-num 8'.
wccp router-list 8
wccp tcp-promiscuous service-pair 61 62
router-list-num 8
enable
exit
Thank you for your help!
