Solved: WAAS CM UPGRADE

Hello Everyone

I need some advice on the WAAS CM upgrade procedure.

How do we upgrade a WAAS CM from 5.2.1 to 5.4.1, Unfortunately there is only a primary WAAS CM in the network and no secondary CM available as of now. I believe CM is the engine which just centrally manages CMS and pushes policy. Are there any caveats in directly upgrading the primary CM without a secondary CM added into the system.

Hi,

You are correct, the CM is not directly involved in the optimization.

Just follow the procedures in the relase notes/upgrade guides and remember to take a backup of the cms database, before starting the upgrade.

Be aware that a new release (5.4.1a) has just recently been released, which (among other things) fixed the OpenSSL vulnerabilities (not the BASH).
