We have a customer with 55 branches deployed with Cisco WAAS. Currently, we are experiencing an issue with Mc Affee Enterprise Antivirus update. The updates use HTTPS and already configured with optimization policy but the WAAS could not optimize it. Our guess is that the Mc Affee has already compress the updates prior to sending it over to the network. Does anyone have solution for this issue? It will be nice if the WAAS could somehow cache the update during the night so that the branch pc could download the updates uses HTTPS and already configured with optimization policy the next morning, because all the branch PCs is turned off after office hours and started downloading the updates the next morning.
You can also try the waas prepositioning option for caching the data during the non business hours.
