WAAS software upgrade - how to halt in progress

Wondering if anyone knows of a way to stop a WAAS software upgrade in progress?

This morning I kicked off a device upgrade to multiple remote WAE/WAVE devices - and the cumulative impact of these FTP transfers over my WAN caused a bandwidth issue on my host site MPLS circuit.

After the dust settled from the service interruption - someone asked "is there any way to stop these transfers in progress?"

to my knowledge - at least from the GUI this doesnt seem possible.

Today I use my Central Manager as my FTP server - and I'm thinking the only way would be remove inetd ftp enable?

kill the ftp service on the CM itself?

thoughts?  anyone ever have to do this?

Thank you,
Paul

Hi,

Never done this but i guess you are right that killing ftp on CM itself may help in killing the upgrade process. You can also try no cms enable and see if that helps. That should actually deregister the device you are trying to upgrade and may halt the upgrade process.

Kanwal
