The WAVE-574 is a newer model and it also has the Virtual Blade support.

Yes but we dont ever plan on using the Virtual Blade...The 512's are 850 bucks cheaper to us and offer 190 more TFO connections then the 574..What i wanted to make sure before i deploy is that Cisco isnt gonna axe these anytime soon...

From the 4.2.1 sizing guidelines. The 574 supports more connections.

The 512 with 2GB of RAM support 1200 connections

The 574 with 6GB of RAM support 1300 connections

Ok the sizing guide from 4.1.5 also shows 1200 and 1300 for connection limits. I am not sure about the output

I am not sure what the point is...?? That document is a little dated. According to the caveat section it is based on 4.0.3 release.

Eric,

        The point being i need to order a good amount of these for the company i work for..and i would like to get the most bang for buck with  850 dollar difference between them once i get to around 13-15 that 850 dollars adds up the where i could have got an additonal one...with a 512 vs a 574..
