WAE-512 Software Upgrade

Hi all,

Do u have any ideia of how to upgrade the WAE-512 from 4.1.1b.15 to 4.1.3a.32 ?

I've downloaded the following files from Cisco:

WAAS-4.1.3a.32-K9.bin

WAAS-4.1.3a.32-K9.sysimg

WAAS-4.1.3a.32-rescue-cdrom-K9.iso

I think its only burn a CD-Rom with the iso image, and reload the WAE with it in.

It's really like that ?

Any simple step-by-step Document? I realy dont found any that easy.

Best Regards,

Bruno Petrónio

Bruno,

Best place to to start here.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/app_ntwk_services/waas/waas/v413/configuration/guide/maint.html

Easiest is to use the copy or install command with the .bin file. Either use a remote FTP server, ftp the .bin locally to the disk of the WAE or burn it to a CD-ROM.

copy ftp install ftpserver WAAS-4.1.3a.32-K9.bin

install WAAS-4.1.3a.32-K9.bin (local)

copy cdrom install WAAS-4.1.3a.32-K9.bin

The other option is to use the rescue CD which you have to burn as an ISO and it will wipe out the current config and completely rebuild the WAE.

Hope that helps,

Dan

Hey Bruno,

If you don't have the options for the recovery cd, here is the link.
