WAE inline or WCCP on data center

Hi all,

Is WAE(674)inline mode fine for data center or should I go for WCCP?

Any idea about throuput of inline adaptor?

Hi Nomair,

I usually start with WCCP in the DC due to the fact that you are limited to intercepting on 2 links with the inline card currently and most DC scenarios have requirements of using more then 2 links (or routers).

Ok thanks I will use wccp.

One more thing, can I use 674 as WAE appliance and 512 as CM who will manage 674 appliance or I have to use same appliance for CM as well?

CM size is based on how many WAEs it will be managing. A 512-2 GB WAE can manage around 1000 WAEs, a 1 GB 512 roughly half as much.
