WCCP on VRF interface

Hi.

My 7600's dont have support for WCCP on VRF.

But there's a workaround as stated on Riverbed books.

Reachability on both VRF and global space technique.

My setup is:

WAAS <> trunk <> R1 <> trunk <> R2

All in same subnet.

WAAS  - 192.168.1.3

R1 - 192.168.1.1 VLAN 506  (VRF A)

R2 - 192.168.1.2 VLAN 506  (VRF A)

All on same subnet.

WAAS and R1 are able to run WCCP and successful redirection. All working.

But;

WAAS and R2 WCCP state is "NOT Usable"

WCCP with R2 comes up ONLY when I remove the vrf membership of vlan 506 at R2. Havent tested traffic redirection yet.

My question is, why is it successful with R1 and not with R2?

They are on the same subnet, connectivity via Layer 2.

With R1,I dont need to remove the vrf membership of the vlan 506 and is working properly.

Can this be an IOS issue?

R1's IOS is SRD6

R2's IOS is SRC3
