7920 and Symbol AP-4131

Is anyone having any problems with this combination ?

Our initial deployment (10+) of 7920's (spring/summmer 2006) yielded no significant problems. Hdwe version 1 or 2, firmware and phone load unknown.

Nov/Dec 06 -- we have deployed large numbers (90+) of hdwe v2 and 3 phones, newer firmware, and now use 4.0-03 load. We have significant RTP issues. Call control is always there.

This problem plagues one small site with (3) 4131's and (3) 7920's...so numbers/coverage are not the issue.

Have not done a detailed analysis, but my gut feel is some change in later phone/fw/load versions.

Anyone have insight into/experience with these combos ??

Would suggest using 3.01 firmware on the 7920s.

You can browse to the phone or via keypad and get call statistics info.

We don't really test against 3rd party APs, so can't guarantee 100% quality.

Maybe you should capture a sniffer trace and do RTP analysis to see where the issue lies.

Can always open a TAC case to get assistance troubleshooting the issue as well.
