I have a user who has a 7920 and when they came in Monday morning the phone was asking for a password, and the user did not set a password. (prankster?malfunction? - I don't know.)
How do I reset the phone to get it back into service? It's not registering in Call Manager and cycling power brings it back up to the "Enter Phone Password" prompt.
I have the USB cable and config software, but I cannot get into the interface to enable the USB port of the phone.
Any help would be appreciated.
Try entering the code *7#9#2#0#* on the 7920 wireless phone. This will reset the password and set the phone back to factory defaults.
I would try the default phone lock password of 12345 before resetting back to factory defaults.
